These three shots were taken from the beach at SGI. The shrimpers were working just off the beach. Hazy early March day, with interesting light for photos.
The commercial boat basin, up Scipio Creek, in Apalachicola. A colorful place, with a full spectrum of shrimpers and bottom fishing boats. Many boats look "ship-shape", others in advanced rust and disrepair. Mostly easy to chat up these fisherman, as they work on their nets or tidy up their boats. Even a quick stroll along the docks here underscores what a hard, scruffy way of life it is to make one's living off the sea.
20th year for Tallahassee's Red Hill Horse Trials, a major equestrian event that qualifies horse & riders for the World Equestrian Games/Olympics. 300 horses, with 3 days of nearly non-stop competition. Great place to have a camara.
