Welcome to greenheronphotos. I created this site to display and share some of my favorite photos. I hope this site allows an easy stroll through the several galleries of my photos. my plan is to rotate new photos into this site on a regular basis, in addition to a "new pictures" gallery that will be updated as I take more photos. Please return here often to see what is new. my photographic skills have much room to grow, so i look forward to your comments and constructive feedback.
i am an outdoor guy who tries to keep my camera at the ready, whether on the water or on the trail. most weeks find me hiking or biking in our regional wildlife refuges and state parks, or boating or kayaking on our gulf coast waters. my favorite subjects are wildlife, landscapes, and, with a nod to local customs, the oyster skiffs and shrimp boats of apalachicola bay. I'm also a bit bonkers about trains and windmills.
i hope you enjoy these photos nearly as much as i enjoyed creating them.
